The majestic Rhône River flows through France’s most alluring and dramatic vineyards. And May, 2017 offered a perfect time to visit with the vineyards with greening vines and fine weather. Below our Rhône Tour Group enjoyed a moment in the vineyards high above the river on a sunny afternoon.

After traveling from Paris on the high speed T.G.V. train, we stayed the heart of historic Vienne in the northern Rhône. Over the weekend our guide Veronique helped us explore Vienne’s historic Saturday market and incredible Roman sites including the amphitheater. We visited several casual wine bars and had a fabulous dinner with at the two Michelin start Restaurant La Pyramide. Then we traveled to Côte Rôtie, Condrieu, Crozes-Hermitage, Cornas, Lirac, Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Gigondas enjoying unique, private winery visits and tastings with top Rhône winemakers including Bernard Bergaud, Stephane Rousset, Matthieu Barret, and Delphine and Roselind Faraud at Domaine Cayron.
