Despite all the madness in the air today, we all can still enjoy the pleasures of summer. It’s time to start grilling, sharing bottles and enjoying meals outside.
To whet your appetite, in an online session on June 18th, Deb Mortillaro of Palate Partners and I will give tips on how to do it up right. We will offer wines & food of Burgundy perfect for casual outdoor enjoyment.
Deb will be going back to her classic French training at the Culinary Institute of America by preparing three easy-to-do, classic Burgundy dishes:
gougères–cheese puff pastries in bite size portions,
grilled duck breast cut into yummy hors d’oeuvres,
and, of course, the ultimate Burgundy delicacy….grilled snails!
I will share tips on terrific 2017 Burgundy wines of quality and value from two top growers:
Dominique Lafon makes some of Burgundy’s top white wines. His tasty 2017 Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon Mâcon-Villages comes from Chardonnay grown in his southern Burgundy vineyards
Jacques Girardin and his son Justin have vineyards in Santenay, and they use older vines for their delcisious the 2017 Bourgogne Pinot Noir Vieilles Vignes (Pinot Noir).
Why not grab a bottle of your own and join the fun beginning Thursday, June 18th at 6:00 PM.? Just click here at Wines and Food of Burgundy to purchase tickets and register now.
Hope to see you there. Cheers and à votre santé!
